Working for the Weekend

Everyone's watching, to see what you will do
Everyone's looking at you, oh
Everyone's wondering, will you come out tonight
Everyone's trying to get it right, get it right
Everybody's working for the weekend

The weather here in eastern Nebraska has been creeping back into the forties.  Translation:  the snow is melting and now it is muddy!  Which has stopped me from riding, but not everyone.  The miles keep moving up.

Corie from Team 47:  Pinky and the Boys took the above picture when out riding her appaloosa, Takota, the other night.  Isn’t that a beautiful shot?  And pretty reminiscent of many of our rides; rushing home from work and racing daylight.  And being able to capture with the camera what our eye sees is a gift.

Big news for Sierra of Team 44:  Sonador.  A new horse in their herd.  Meet Elite, a coming 4-year-old quarter horse and just my color!  I get excited when friends get new horses.  I think her mom, Cindy of Team 5 will be enjoying her just as much as Sierra.  About Elite, Sierra said:

The weekend is here, the sun is shining and the temps aren’t too bad.  Some of the Derby riders are getting together on Sunday for a stroll through Two Rivers.  Its been about 15 days since I have saddled up.  I’ve been working for the weekend and looking forward to riding again.
