Team 63: Scout

 

 

My name is Julie and I ride an 11 year old spotted TWH gelding named Scout, otherwise known as Scooter.  I’ve had him since he was one.  We belong to the Eastfork Volunteer Mounted Search and Rescue and the Clermont County OHC.  We’re here in Batavia, Ohio, just outside of Cincinnati.  I also will be riding my husband’s gaited 16 year old gelding Bob, the cadillac.   He’s a bay with a blaze and four white legs with black feet.  Occasionally I’ll ride my boarder’s 17 year old spotted TWH Hank.  All three are really good boys and are been there done that horses.  We like to go out for hours and cover some ground.  A new job will slow me down this year but I hope to get some riding in.  I’ve averaged for the last couple of years 700 to 800 miles a year.
