The Great Horsetrailriders Distance Derby

The purpose of this game is to encourage you to get out and ride.  Any equine, any time, any speed.  The Great Horsetrailriders Distance Derby will begin January 1, 2012.  Pretty simple idea.  Use your GPS, record your mileage and type it in the comments following your team bio.  You will compete “virtually” with other teams entered in the Distance Derby.  The person with the most miles at the end of the year wins the race. 

I'll provide progress reports along the way; you can provide commentary in your comments about your rides - makes it interesting for the others to read.  You must have a GPS or GPS technology to keep it fair.

UPDATE:  There has been some questions about what a “team” is.  A team is YOU and your horse or horses.  There is one rider per team; but you can ride multiple horses.
